Racehorse Training Facility Planning Permission
This was an exciting equestrian project to be involved with which involved change of use of existing agricultural buildings to a top class racehorse training facility and gallops. This included:
- 60 stables, veterinary facilities and indoor school
- Erection of new accommodation block for staff and horse walkers
- Change of use of commercial building to reception and owners lounge
- Installation of 7-furlong uphill all-weather gallop and a 2-furlong circular all-weather canter track
Summary
Our clients wanted to create a state of the art racehorse training facility. This required a large scale change of use application as the site was currently under agricultural use.

There were numerous challenges associated with this project, it involved a large scale change of use whilst maintaining the natural characteristics of the rural location. In addition there is a Grade 1 listed Church and Ancient Scheduled Monument adjacent to the site. It required continual development, adaptations and landscaping to ensure local residents and the council found the proposals acceptable.
